About the event
Devi Mamak is a stunning dancer and Yuri teacher from Australia. She has been practicing the FCBD® style for a long time and, inspired by flamenco, has developed her own unique dance dialect. The movements of this dialect are distinguished by their unique flexibility, precision, and grace.
In this workshop, we will step outside the comfort zone of FCBD® and explore new nuances of movement through her incredibly beautiful steps and captivating formations. We will work with arm flexibility, energy direction, and core dynamics to highlight the grace, strength, and drama so characteristic of flamenco-inspired aesthetics. These movements are simultaneously powerful and refined, allowing the dancer to discover new nuances of artistry.
This workshop is suitable for those already familiar with these movements and wanting to delve deeper into their detail, beauty, and grace, as well as for those new to this style and eager to discover new forms of movement.
