✨ This year is SPECIAL
The festival's format is changing: the program centers on certification events, which are extremely rare and not planned for recurrence in the coming years. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a process that, for many, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Tribal-KZ is not just training.
It is the atmosphere and environment in which you grow up.
This year we take a breath and learn:
✔ No overloaded programs and no rush
✔ No parallel classes or interruptions in attention
✔ No feeling of “I’m missing something”
✔ All focus is on the certification process
✔ You experience the whole experience, from beginning to end
✔ attention to detail and depth, not quantity
✔ Focus on your dance, your experience, and your growth

TEACHERS

Carolena Nericcio
USA
Creator of the FatChanceBellyDance® Style.
She began her dance career in 1974, studying with Masha Archer and performing with the San Francisco Classic Dance Troupe. Masha's style was an eclectic blend of classical Egyptian dance, folkloric forms, and various influences that resonated with her creative explorations. In 1987, after the troupe disbanded, Carolena began teaching at a small studio at Noe Valley Ministry, with the simple goal of teaching people to dance so she could have partners to dance with. Young and vibrant, Carolena attracted like-minded individuals who embraced an alternative lifestyle. At the time, the Modern Primitives movement was actively developing in the United States, where tattoos and archaic forms of body adornment were becoming a form of self-expression. Carolina and her students performed at tattoo shows and conventions and soon became well-known in San Francisco.
Carolena will be connected with us online via Zoom throughout the course to participate in key modules and share her experiences.
DeAnna Freeman

Philippa is a Partner Studio and Continuing Education Instructor, a co-teacher for GS Intensives and Teacher Trainings, and the founder of the first FCBD® collectives in London—Moirai Tribal and FireWater Collective. "Perspective" is dedicated to compositional thinking in dance and the ability to see choreography from different perspectives. Understanding perspective allows one to create more layered, meaningful, and visually expressive compositions, both in solo pieces and in group work. It helps one understand how structure, space, time, and intention shape the overall impression of a dance.
During the masterclass, participants will work with the fundamental techniques of choreographic composition, learning to organize movement, create dynamic and memorable structures, and formulate a clear artistic idea. We will explore composition as a tool for stage design, expressiveness, and the creation of a coherent story through dance.
PRICE AND REGISTRATION
This master class is ✅ included in the general festival package with certification.
The cost of the master class is €50 without the general festival package.
You can only register for this master class.
Registration opens on January 3 at 15:00 Astana time.

"YSH ZHYZ"
Three Tribes City Tour
This is a three-day cultural tour inspired by the historical structure of the Kazakh people.
"Zhuz" literally means a union, a unification of clans and territories, reflecting the lifestyle, movement, and social organization of nomadic culture. The tour program sequentially passes through the Senior, Middle, and Junior Zhuzes, revealing their history and roots, urban life and human interaction, as well as the freedom of the road and open space. The tour combines cultural, historical, and physical experiences and is fully included in the participation fee, covering all three days of the program.

Uly zhuz - Senior zhuz
The Elder Zhuz is associated with the southern and southeastern regions of Kazakhstan and is considered one of the earliest in formation.
This day is dedicated to roots, history, and cultural memory—understanding the origins, traditions, and environment in which nomadic culture was formed. Through museums, historical spaces, and cultural context, participants learn about the foundation upon which identity and intergenerational continuity are built.
Orta Zhuz (Middle Zhuz)
The Middle Zhuz historically covered the central steppes and was closely associated with the nomadic way of life, movement and interaction between clans.
This day's tour program reveals the city as a living space, a place of encounters, exchange, and the rhythm of contemporary life. Walking, observing, and interacting with the urban environment allows us to see how past and present merge in the dynamics of people, architecture, and movement.
Kishi zhuz (Junior zhuz)
The Junior Zhuz is traditionally associated with the western territories of Kazakhstan and harsher living conditions, where mobility, roads, and endurance played a special role.
This day is dedicated to open space, freedom, and movement, venturing beyond the city limits and experiencing the steppe. Through physical and natural experiences, participants connect with the nomadic sense of the path, simplicity, and inner freedom.
☑ INCLUDED IN THE CERTIFICATION PACKAGE PROGRAM

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your support and enthusiasm for our event! However, it is important to note that for the festival to be a success, we require your support in purchasing master classes. This is critical, as without it, we will not be able to recoup our organizational costs. These events require SIGNIFICANT resources and effort to organize, and unfortunately, we cannot fully fund them through free performances alone. If everyone performs for free, then, unfortunately, our festival will not be able to continue in the future, and similar events will be at risk.
The festival's concert program is a continuation of the educational process and reflects the work carried out as part of the training.
-
Participants of the General Skills & Teacher Training program CAN take part in the concert program without any additional conditions.
-
Participants of groups not participating in certification may take part in concerts provided that the group's leader or choreographer has participated in the FCBD certification or the "Perspective" master class.
We view the stage not as a separate format, but as a logical continuation of training and professional dialogue.
These measures are necessary to ensure the QUALITY and sustainability of our festival. We express our deep gratitude to the teachers who bring their groups to the festival and motivate us to gain knowledge!
With gratitude, Olga Meos and the Tribal PRO team.

SHOWS
GALA ⭐️ SHOW
We invite you to prepare your most powerful, thoughtful, and interesting numbers for the festival's gala concert.
Group numbers and collaborations created specifically for the festival stage and space are especially welcome.
📅 Applications will be accepted on March 1st, and each application will take up to 7 days to be reviewed.
Please note that applications may be accepted or rejected without explanation. This may be due to inappropriate stage standards, repetition of an idea or number, conceptual limitations of the program, or the overall balance of the concert.
📌 What must be included in the application:
• detailed description of the performance and idea
• visual references of the costume and image (pictures, mood, examples of style)
• style & format and number of the dancers
❗ Video submission is not required. The costume may be in development, but a visual concept is required.
Important selection conditions:
• Priority is given to group numbers and collaborations
• Soloists are selected especially strictly and only with a high level of professionalism
• Dancers with significant stage experience and a proven level of performance are invited to the gala show.
• The total number of numbers is limited, maximum 40 performances on one big stage
Please, BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE REJECTION. This is part of the professional selection process and working with a large stage. If your performance was rejected from show, you can register it for a party where the format and requirements are less strict and open to any creativity.
Music will be accepted from April 1st to 7th, and the final order of performers will be announced on April 10th.
PARTY 🪩
The festival's parties are a space for complete creative freedom, experimentation, humor, unexpected formats, and the joy of dance. There's no strict selection process, we don't assess professionalism as strictly as we do for the gala, and we welcome a wide variety of ideas.
However, it is important for us to understand the overall visual and semantic context of the program, so participation is also subject to registration.
📌 What should I include in my application?
• brief description of the performance
• costume and image references (pictures, mood board, visual ideas)
• number of dancers
The costume may be in development, but a general idea of the style is required. A video is not required.
‼️ Important limitation
The parties are rated 12+ , so please avoid overtly sexualized, vulgar, or provocative imagery and themes. All performances should be comfortable for everyone. In all other respects, there is complete creative freedom. Experiment, try new things, push the boundaries and enjoy the show.
Music will be accepted from April 1st to 7th, and the final order of performers will be announced on April 10th.

Hello everyone! I am Olga Meos, the festival organizer.
It is no secret that festival organizers take the gigantic work, and not only high financial risks and emergency situations. Visas, hotel and ticket bookings, rental agreements, finding professional media workers, bank transfers and... The list is endless. This is a hard work, the purpose of which is to develop the Tribal dance style not only in Kazakhstan, but also throughout the whole world. And the highest priority is always the maximum comfort for each participant. Beautiful visuals and clear information on this site, snacks and beverages on the backstage, rehearsals held on time and a good mood. All this requires not only large financial investments, but also mental resources. After all, we, Kazakh people,
are known by our hospitality and friendliness.
I THANK everyone who contributes to this festival, especially financially, by attending master classes and projects, recommending our shows to friends who come even from other countries just to see us live! Endless gratitude to EVERY participant of this event. Who helped with a car, or printed some documents,
or borrowed a costume to someone. Who solved a difficult issue without conflict. Even who picked up a hairpin from the floor in the dressing room or borrowed eyelash glue.
TOGETHER we make the festival unforgettable and its result depends on each of us!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP!
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!
WE ARE TRIBAL-KZ!
Sizderge kop rahmet zhane kosh keldinezder!

WAITING FOR YOU!
FESTIAL WILL START IN...
